Welcome (to Our New) Home!

Music Theatre of Connecticut, Fairfield County’s premier performing arts organization, producing both award-winning professional theatre and a nationally-recognized school of performing arts, is proud to announce its relocation to a new, state-of-the-art performing arts center located at 509 Westport Avenue (Route 1) in Norwalk, CT.

THE NEW MTC is part of the vibrant Westport Avenue commercial district including housing, retail, restaurants and entertainment. This landmark facility houses a 110-seat MainStage Theatre Space, newly designed lobby, rehearsal and classroom spaces, scenic and costume shops, spacious dressing rooms, and administrative offices.

You can help MTC continue its legacy of innovation with your Capital Campaign contribution. Every gift is important and may be made by check, credit card, or in the form of marketable securities. All donors will receive appropriate recognition  consistent with your level of giving. Exceptional gifts may carry with them the opportunity to name a space in our new facility.

The New Theatre

MTC's Melissa & Doug Theatre is now the venue for the Equity MainStage and student productions as well as the location for all educational programming for our School of Performing Arts. THE NEW MTC enables us to have our entire operation under one roof, giving us the ability to expand our creative and design possibilities for both the professional and student productions; as well as providing our professional and student actors the opportunity to rehearse and present the productions in the same space.

THE NEW MTC includes the MainStage Theatre, a beautiful lobby reflecting MTC’s 28 year history, public restrooms, dressing rooms, rehearsal/classroom space, costume and scenic shops, dressing rooms and administrative space.
