Music Theatre of Connecticut (MTC), Fairfield County’s leading non-profit performing arts organization, is thrilled to announce the expansion of its state-of-the-art theatre center at 509 Westport Avenue in Norwalk, CT. The newly expanded MTC, set to be completed by early 2025, will feature a new Cabaret Theatre, an expanded lobby, first-floor dressing rooms, expanded box office, additional rehearsal/classroom space, expanded costume and scenic shops, and extra administrative space.
The target for individual contributions (leadership contributions) is $150,000.
Combination of leadership donations, state and private grant money, and corporate support goal is $675,000.

New Cabaret Space, Expanded Lobby, New Dressing Rooms, Expanded Production Facilities!
MTC will renovate its recently acquired 7,000 sq. ft. addition, doubling the space to create a fully realized 14,000 sq. ft. theatre and performance arts venue. The new facility, in addition to the existing mainstage theatre, rehearsal studio, small scenic and costume shops, small lobby, and public spaces on the second floor dressing rooms, will feature:
A contemporary, casual venue for expanded professional and student programming.
Home to additional MTC Performance Programming, including a new comedy series, an expanded Cabaret Series, Developmental theatre projects, a new partnership with the Norwalk Symphony, and additional educational programming.
A greatly expanded lobby, bar area, and box office for a more complete experience for patrons and gatherings like opening nights and gala events.
New opportunities to expand creative and design possibilities for both professional and student projects.
New and expanded dressing areas and restrooms for student and professional actors convenient to both the new Cabaret and Mainstage Theatres.
New state-of-the-art rehearsal and teaching spaces, allowing for the expansion of the curriculum, community partner training, events, and rehearsals for upcoming productions.
