  • Registration is open for both the Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 Terms.

  • When you register for a theatre class and a dance class, you get 20% off the full tuition. You must call to get this discount.

  • Discounts cannot be combined and do not apply to Student Productions, Private Lessons, College Bound, or Adult Classes. Discounts only apply to Theatre Playground (Kindergarten) if registering for more than one session. Discounts cannot be applied to a completed purchase.

Theatre Playground
Kindergarten

This class allows young actors to take their first steps into performing in a low-pressure, safe environment that will empower them to use their voices and bodies to communicate from center stage. Using children’s stories ranging from familiar fairy tales to modern day youth literature, your child will learn the basics of presenting for an audience, improvising, and acting in character. A fun acting class tailored to young school-aged children where kids will work on classroom skills such as following directions, listening, and working with others in a fun and creative way. Each session meets 5 times.

Musical Theatre
Grades 1-2 & Grades 3-5

Young performers acquire the skills that will become the foundation for performing in plays and musicals including learning Broadway songs, performing musical and non-musical scenes, and through other solo and ensemble material. Develop a solid acting foundation through character development, improv skills, vocal technique, and staging in this Broadway-bound performance class. 

Musical Theatre 1 (Grades 1-2)

Musical Theatre Intensive
Grades 6-8

A class to become the ultimate triple threat! Students will receive the best training in musical theatre and acting techniques through advanced character building and scene & song examination. A portion of the class will also be dedicated to learning proper audition etiquette and skills you didn’t know directors looked for. This is a perfect class for aspiring actors who are ready to take their acting and musical abilities to the next level. We highly recommend students take an MTC dance class in tandem with this class.

Tuesdays 5:30-7:00

Acting & Improv
Grades 3-5

Students explore acting techniques and build a solid foundation through short scenes, monologues, and acting exercises. To complement this, improvisation games are used to help develop actors’ comfortability on stage, quick thinking skills, and ability to work as a team. By portraying different characters in all kinds of situations, students discover the power of a creative imagination and develop the confidence and enthusiasm being a skilled actor requires.

Acting & Improv 2 (Grades 3-5)

Improvisation
Grades 6-8

A class where kids can freely let their creativity and imagination soar! Learn the fundamentals of improvisation techniques through games, exercises, and activities that focus on getting students comfortable on stage, sharpening their wit, and working as a team. Whether you want to become master improviser, a stronger actor, or just hope to make your friends laugh, then this is the class for you!

Improv 3 (Grades 6-8)
Mondays 5:30-7:00

Tuition: $650/term


Acting for Film & TV
Grades 5-8

The Film & TV classes teach specific techniques of on-camera performance including acting in commercials, soaps, television series and films by working on-camera each week. Students learn all the steps to a successful film or television audition, including how to improvise, prepare text, memorize quickly and interview well. In addition, students learn the different techniques for commercials, film and television and the difference between live and filmed auditions. 

Wednesdays 5:30-7:00

Advanced Acting: Acting for High School Students
Grades 9-12

In this upper level class, students will learn acting techniques through advanced character building and scene examination. This class is included in the College Bound Program’s Sophomore/Junior Package and therefore broadens students minds to acting outside of high school in teaching audition etiquette, how to have a good audition, and more. This class is perfect for students who are looking to make acting not just something they do for fun, but something they want to do in the future!
Note: If your child is registered for the College Bound Program they may be automatically placed in this class.

Designed to ignite your passion for dance and theatre, this class offers an exciting experience for both beginner and intermediate dancers. Immerse yourself in the world of Broadway as we explore the fusion of jazz technique and theatrical storytelling. With dynamic choreography, you'll learn to embody characters, express emotions, and bring the magic of musical theatre to life through dance. No matter your age, this class will unleash your star power and take your performance skills to new heights.

Tap Dancing
Grades 3-5 & Grades 6-12

Make some noise and tap your way to center stage! Whether you’ve tapped before or have never tapped at all this is a great class for both beginner and intermediate tappers. From the classic styles of the past to the innovative techniques of the present, this will be an unforgettable class where your feet become instruments of expression, and the stage becomes your playground. Students must have their own tap shoes.

Get a step up and audition like a pro with MTC’s team of award winning professionals! As your next audition approaches, MTC will help you choose material or work on provided material. However, it’s not just about the material! We will also teach specific audition etiquette, technique, and strategy such as how to best communicate with auditors, with the pianist, and how to present yourself in the best light looking well prepared and self confident. Our goal is to give you the best shot at getting the role you want!

Private Voice 

For the serious young musical theatre singer, MTC offers private study in voice. Students develop a solid vocal technique specifically focused on the requirements for healthy singing in the musical theatre including vocal production, breathing, healthy belting for women, appropriate musical theatre repertoire and audition techniques.
